Summer Pix

Last night we were hanging out in the grass, and Lena was laying there, having fallen while playing with Zoe. It was the perfect night to take some summer time pix.

Silly Girls Growing Up

I think our girls are growing up. Edy-Bug has decided on a career on the stage. She loves to impersonate it seems. It could be glasses, a cape, or an apron- anything goes as a costume. Lena, on the other hand, wants to be a race car driver like her mama. Can you believe how big she is getting? When I say big, I mean "mature", as she is still tiny! She crawls all over the place now, getting into EVERYTHING. She loves electrical cords, semi-heavy pieces of furniture and heights. All the makings of a dare-devil. And she enjoys making me laugh/worry. When she crawls, she stops every few feet and claps for herself. It's a good thing mama has excellent reflexes.

July 4th Weekend Part 1

We went out to the mountains to visit with our friends Christine, John and Emma. While there, we went out on the boat on Lake Chortuge. This was Lena's first time in a boat and her first time swimming. She LOVED the boat. The faster we went, the bigger she smiled. She loved the water too. She hung out in a float and rode the waves up and down. She even kicked her legs to get to us- like a little fish! Lena has informed us that she wants a boat for her 1st birthday.

Crawling

Lena started to crawl last week. At first, she would take 2 or 3 "steps". She's been practising a lot, and is moving quite well now. She loves being able to get to her toys.
