Dandelions

We seriously have a million dandelions. These pix show only a very small portion of them. It will probably take years to get rid of most of them. Until then, Lena loves picking them. But beware- they stain your skin for days!

State Park

The Colonel Denning State Park is just behind our house, about 2-3 miles down the street. They have a little playground, amongst trails, camping sites, etc, so Lena and I went for an hour on Easter day.

I LOVE this picture of her!

Look at this view!

Here is the view from the back of the house- wow!! This is Blue Mountain- so beautiful! When we moved in last week, the weather was still a little chilly and rainy. It has since warmed up, and the trees behind us are budding. We have 3 acres, full of dandelions (pix of that to follow). We have a few little trees (maples, pines) and lilac bushes, which made my year! There are lots of planting beds with some daffodils, juniper, hollies and tons of weeds. I have been clearing out the beds for flowers I will soon plant.

We have plenty to entertain us outside too. Our next-door neighbors have 3 horses, a sheep, 3 goats, a miniature donkey, chickens and of course, a rooster. This particular rooster doesn't bother me, since it is actually A FARM, and not a SUBURBAN NEIGHBORHOOD. (Some of you will know what I am referring to...) Anyway, the donkey is my favorite. He chases around the dark horse the most, and hee-haws all the time. He's pretty funny.

Our other neighbors have horses too, and there are cows down the street and tractors everywhere. It's farm country out here! We just love it though. I think Lena does too. She has so much room to run! The doggies love it too.

Here are the first pix of Lena at her new house...

The perfect view...

The light behind the house is gorgeous.
 Lena loves my "measure tape"
Goofy girl in the window

We told her she could scream outside now, since no one will hear her!

Visiting

Before we left NC, we visited with family. Lena and Eden played a lot that week. They are silly little girls when the get together- sharing snacks, having belly laughs, switching chairs and toys...I think they have fun.

More Outside Fun

It was a very lovely evening, so Lena wanted to play outside again. She says, "play outside, come on Mama". She loves to play catch and kick the ball around the yard.

Lena loves the outdoors

Lena LOVES being outside! Now that the weather is getting warmer, I can't keep her inside. Sun, rain, wind- she loves it all.

It was raining today, so she had to play in the muddy puddles.
